After 5, 10, 15, 30 days at home, of course, it’s inevitable to feel the stress and anxiety that all of this represents. Sometimes, it can be a bit difficult to handle those emotions. We get it! However, even when those intense moments come, we can’t let them take a toll on our minds and body.
The daily stress and anxiety we are experiencing can affect our body, thoughts, and feelings. After a long period of stress, our body triggers the levels of cortisol, which increases the amount of sugar in our blood, which in return, can affect our skin and hair. It’s also common that we are feeling inflammations, knots around our body, and changes in our sleep patterns, which is not great for our hormones. Ever experienced stress-related acne? It sucks, we know!
Positivity is hard to practice during times of uncertainty and probably seeing a bright future is not our main focus at the moment. So, to keep your mental health and in that way feel good with yourself as a whole, we want to share with you some holistic practices to make sure you stay your very best.
In holistic practice, you should take care of your physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual self. Take a moment to identify if your life has changed in any of these aspects. Probably yes, so find some daily gateways to balance all of these.
Maybe a glass of wine with a friend over a Zoom call, a virtual yoga class for the body, meditation for the soul or just dancing alone can give us that clarity we need. And have a much healthier body and mind. Our emotions need an outlet and that outlet can be very specific to each of us. The trick is to identify the things that bring us joy and try to do more of that on a daily basis. But most importantly, pay attention to your daily habits. Some days it’s hard to even get out of our pj’s but refreshing our face can do the trick to make us feel more awake and ready to start the day. So go on, splash your face with water, add some moisturizer to keep your skin healthy and get ready to start the day!
This leads us to tell you something very important: your moisturizer should be one less thing to worry about. It should be a formula with a holistic approach to the health of your skin: moisturize without clogging your pores, protect without compromising your skin’s PH balance and overall do a GREAT job without using any harsh chemicals, animal cruelty or sketchy ingredients. Luckily, our formula checks all these boxes! We’ve even considered each different skin type and created a formula for each one: dry, normal/combination and oily. Each has a different texture and key ingredients to cater to the specific needs of each skin type. Plus, did we mention it’s under $20 for 3.4oz?! Now, that’s a real gem!
Let us know if you have any other practices you are incorporating into your daily routine at home. We’d love to know!
