The Effect of Green Tea on the Skin

Green tea is a natural beverage with antioxidant properties that positively impact skin health. Its effects on the skin include possessing anti-aging properties, reducing the occurrence of acne and pimples, imparting a brighter and livelier complexion, and balancing skin tone.

Ingredients for Making Green Tea

  • Green tea leaves or green tea bags
  • Water
  • Optionally, lemon, honey, or other sweeteners

Preparation of Green Tea

  1. Firstly, boil water and wait for it to reach approximately 80-85°C.
  2. Add green tea leaves or bags to a cup or teapot.
  3. Pour the hot water over the leaves or bags and let the tea steep. Steeping time is typically between 2 to 3 minutes, but longer or shorter times can be preferred.
  4. Once steeped, strain the tea and serve it optionally adding lemon, honey, or other sweeteners.
  5. The beverage can be consumed hot or cold.


Avoid excessive consumption of green tea, as it may contain high levels of caffeine and can cause sleep disturbances in some individuals. Additionally, pregnant individuals or those with specific health conditions are advised to consult with their doctors before consuming green tea.
