Green Tea Facial Mask

Green tea may help reduce signs of aging thanks to its high antioxidants content. Antioxidants combat free radicals, supporting the skin to stay youthful and healthy. Additionally, the polyphenols found in green tea may increase skin elasticity and reduce wrinkles.

  • 1 tea bag of green tea or 1 tablespoon of green tea leaves
  • 1/2 cup of hot water
  • 1 tablespoon of organic lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of organic agave syrup or honey

  1. Place the green tea bag or green tea leaves in a cup or bowl.
  2. Pour hot water over it and let the tea steep. Allow it to steep for about 5-10 minutes.
  3. Strain the steeped tea and let it cool down.
  4. Once the green tea has cooled, add organic lemon juice and organic agave syrup or honey. Mix well.

  1. Cleanse your face and pat it dry gently.
  2. Apply the prepared green tea mask evenly onto your face using a cotton pad or your fingers, avoiding the eye area.
  3. Leave the mask on your skin for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry gently.

Allergic Reactions and Precautions:

Discontinue use and consult your dermatologist if you experience any signs of allergic reaction or discomfort during the use of the mask. Applying green tea to the skin is generally safe, but the caffeine content in green tea may cause irritation in some sensitive skin types. Moreover, excessive consumption or application of green tea may lead to adverse effects in some individuals. Therefore, it’s advisable to consult a professional before regularly applying a green tea mask.
